Jean was born in 1939. She moved from the Huddersfield area to Bentham. Her Mum taught Jean to knit when war broke out  and it was a case of "make do and mend". They would unpick woollens and re-knit the necessary gloves, socks etc.

Jean enjoys making beautiful things and feels a sense of accomplishment in producing wonderful knits.
